This salve is made using locally foraged plantain leaf Plantago major, comfrey root Symphytum officinale, and backyard grown calendula flower Calendula officinalis.
Plantain has been shown to help with drawing toxins from the skin and helping to alleviate bugbites, stings and burns.
Comfrey is a great wound healer and best used for shallow wounds as it’s been found to heal wounds so fast that it can cause an abscess in deep wounds by healing the surface before the bottom layer!
Calendula flower has been found to be anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing and is great for overall skin care.
